2009 Swing For Charity Winners Announced

Nov. 10, 2009 - PRLog -- The 2009 Swing for Charity kicked off Saturday at Baytree National with contests. The following were the big contests winners: Lynsey Blair, Karla Barker, Richard Merz, Donnie Coffield, George Thompson, Patti Wolfe, Debbie Manring, Rhonda Breault, Fritz Showers, Russ Reinhard, and Betty Kimball.

The team comprised of Roy Wolfe, Barbara Fanning, Betty Snow and Bill Ferris captured the 2009 Swing for Charity Golf Tournament with a score of five under par. The team of Fritz Showers, Ray Stermer, Ginny Waterman, and Michael Sweeney won second place with a score also of five under on the day.  The third place team comprised of Mike Hoy, John Lynagh, Jouy Mammay, and Lynsey Blair came in at four under par.

Every year the GFWC Viera Woman’s Club raises money for philanthropic endeavors. The 2009 Swing for Charity focused on family support through domestic abuse programs.

Mark your calendar for next year’s event currently scheduled for Saturday, October 30, 2010.
