Music Portal Showcases Indie Artists’ Holiday Tunes

Noisy Planet is showcasing original and classic holiday music from unsigned artists and bands.
Nov. 9, 2009 - PRLog -- Noisy Planet ( HYPERLINK "" is showcasing holiday music from its roster of independent artists this season, and some of the original works are poised to become Christmas classics. Take “Goin’ Surfing for Christmas” by Todd Rosenberg. Rosenberg an accomplished songwriter-artist states, "I've always loved Christmas music, but all the songs are like fifty years old. I thought it was time for a new classic," adding, "I'm so sick of all the commercialism surrounding the holidays, so I wrote 'Going Surfing For Christmas' as a playful reminder that it is supposed to be a spiritual day, not just an excuse to go shopping!"

Commenting on the holiday showcase, Kevin Petersen, founder and President of Noisy Planet said, “this is a great way for unsigned artists and bands to get into the holiday spirit by showcasing original and classic sounds of the season. And we’ve got music in every genre to share with our ‘noisy’ fans.” Visitors can find a smattering of holiday songs on Noisy Planet’s “Top 40” page, and also by searching the site’s Seasonal/Holiday genre.

Noisy Planet charges 99-cents per download and pays royalties to its artists for every download. Net proceeds from all holiday music will be donated to various charities.

Petersen says, “We’re just doing our part to make this a Noisy holiday for all!”
