Dryer Vent Cleaning Technician in Raleigh, NC Acknowledged for Excellent Service

Inferior dryer vent systems are a fire hazard; they also cause excessive wear and tear on your clothes and your clothes dryer

Nov. 9, 2009 - PRLog -- Raleigh, NC – Dryer vent cleaning is necessary to remove lint build-up and ensure your dryer is operating safely and efficiently.  Jim Buie owns Dryer Vent Wizard in North Carolina.  During a recent interview, Jim said, “One of the most common complaints I hear from customers is that their dryer is taking longer to dry a load of clothes.  They think this is a sign that the dryer is worn out and needs to be replaced.  This is rarely the case.”

Jim spoke about one of his recent customers who had this problem.  “She said she would allow me to inspect her dryer vent system as soon as she purchased a new dryer.  I told her not to waste her money because even a brand new dryer will not work efficiently if the dryer vent system is clogged with lint or in need of repair.  Improperly installed dryer vent systems also create problems.”

The customer agreed and Jim came over to see what the problem was.  “The first thing I noticed was the old, flexible foil vent was sagging between joists and there was a 4 foot extension that was slightly declined.  I wasn’t surprised when I disconnected it and dumped out about a gallon of water, lint and dust.”  Visit http://dryerventcleaningraleigh.blogspot.com/2009/11/drye... to read more about proper dryer vent installation.

Jim explained how this dryer vent system was no longer acceptable according to today’s building and safety codes.  “The flexible foil vents sag, creating low spots for lint to build up,” said Jim.  “They also tend to get crushed behind the dryer, completely blocking air-flow.”

Jim installed a new dryer vent system while he explained to his customer why it was necessary to get rid of the old one.  “Later that day, the customer called me, thrilled that she was able to dry a load of clothes in just 40 minutes.”
