America’s Miss Girl Next Door Pageant Auditions Coming to Dallas on November 18

Nov. 8, 2009 - PRLog -- DALLAS – America’s Miss Girl Next Door pageant will soon be taking America by storm as it begins a tour of cites, holding auditions and looking for local finalists for the $100,000 grand prize competition.

A true blend of a national talent show and a beauty pageant, America’s Miss Girl Next Door pageant will first offer all contestants a guaranteed audition in front of the judges and then give their local community the chance to select who will move on to the Finale’ Pageant, where America will choose the winner.  The contestants will present a talent at the audition and talents are open but must be acceptable within the wholesome image of the pageant.  

"We are looking for the American Idol of Pageantry,” said Scherrill McNutt, co-founder of America’s Miss Girl Next Door Pageant. “We really want the unknown, the girl who never thought she had a chance in the pageant industry.”

The national search for America’s Miss Girl Next Door will kickoff in Dallas on November 18th and then proceed to Chicago, New York City; Orlando in December.  The auditions resume in January with Denver; Seattle and then Los Angeles, wrapping up with the final audition date in Tulsa, Oklahoma in early February.  Girls looking to audition must be between 18 and 24 as of December 31, 2009 and are not required to live in the city of their audition.

“We really want to get people from all over the country to audition for our pageant,” McNutt said. “Unlike the other shows, our auditions are guaranteed and a reservation is made for a specific date, time and location through our website.”

Five ladies from each audition city will be invited to an all-expense paid “boot camp” during Spring Break in a private setting. Out of those contestants, all will appear on the live finale in June 2010, however no one will know until the opening of the finale’ which of them will be competing for America’s heart and vote!  It is there that America will have the chance to select the first America’s Miss Girl Next Door via phone, text and Internet ballot.

The grand prize is $100,000 CASH and a SmartCar, plus the opportunity to function as the official America’s Miss Girl Next Door with public appearances and promotional opportunities. The first runner up will receive $25,000 cash and the second runner up will get $10,000 cash. The money could be used to attend school, open a business, buy a house or any other use.  “We decided not to limit this to scholarships, however we would love to see it go for that,” McNutt said. “This will be an exciting opportunity for a ‘girl next door’ to be recognized for her natural beauty.  We are looking forward to visiting the nation and finding the best contestants.”

One additional note, there will be no swimsuit competition.  This pageant is not about how much skin we can show, it is about finding America’s choice for the most wholesome, everyday lady in America!

The auditions will take place in each of the cites on the dates found on the website, the location for the auditions will be provided to ladies as they register. There is a small $95 audition fee for the guaranteed audition in front of the pageant judges. More pageant rules and restrictions are available online.
