Nov. 8, 2009 - PRLog -- From the director of Left For Dead and Ten Dead Men, in association with Molinare, Stealth Media Group and Spice Factory, producers of genre films such as Steal, New Blood, Jericho Mansions and Perfect Creature comes Warrioress, an action-packed fantasy film in the tradition of Red Sonja and Excalibur.

The film is currently in post-production and was mostly shot in Surrey, UK and on the beautiful island of Guernsey, where the filmmakers had an unprecedented amount of support.

Cecily Fay is best known in the UK for headlining the chart-topping Trance music act The Morrighan, but is also a highly experienced screen actress, having featured in productions as varied as Richard Jobson’s The Purifiers, Tim Burton’s Charlie And The Chocolate Factory and Ross Boyask’s first two features as director Left For Dead and Ten Dead Men.

Both of Boyask’s films have charted at high positions in DVD sales charts in the USA and UK, as well as having sold to many territories internationally. Previous to this he was best known to action audiences as having directed the highly acclaimed short martial arts action film Pure Vengeance, starring Scott Adkins (Ninja, The Bourne Ultimatum and Undisputed II and III) and Gordon Alexander (The Purifiers, The Baseline and Sucker Punch).

Warrioress is the first independent film of its kind to be made in the UK. Ross’ aim for the film is to show audiences that contemporary action films can feature incredibly strong female characters as positive role models, who can really perform all of their own complex martial arts fights and horse chases as well as very dangerous stunts. Unlike most other films there are no stunt doubles or wires here. The women of Warrioress have worked incredibly hard, and endured some extremely hard smacks. But they just smile and keep on going.

Stealth Media Group is an all rights Film Distributor and International Film and TV sales company. SMG was formed in November 2008 by Sean O’Kelly, founder of film distributor; Go For It Entertainment along with film producers Michael L Cowan and Jason Piette of Spice Factory, one of Europe’s most dynamic independent production companies involved in production and structured film financing.

Juan Vista Neis is located in LA with Jason Piette and reports in to the Joint CEOs – Michael L Cowan and Sean O’Kelly.

“Cecily and I are proud to be working with Stealth Media Group. I consider Michael and Sean as mentors, and they have been very supportive of my career. They have taught me more about the industry in the last 6 months than I had learned in the last several years as a filmmaker, and I am looking forward to developing further projects with the team.” – Ross Boyask, Director, Warrioress
