Nov. 8, 2009 - PRLog -- Sam Pitroda inaugurates Indo-US Education Summit in the capital

Dr Sam Pitroda, eminent speaker & advisor to the PM on infrastructure, innovation & information inaugurated the Indo –US education Summit in the capital city today at the India Habitat center, followed by a motivating keynote address.

With the objective of exploring opportunities for academic collaborations between Indian institutions and American universities, this summit also provided an opportunity to meet up with top US universities under one roof & explore higher education in American universities.
Organised by the New Jersey based Indus Foundation, headed by its President S.B.Anumolu, the Indo-US Education Summit was a unique event, being held for the first time in India and was attended by university chancellors, presidents, provosts, deans, enrollment and  recruitment officers of accredited American universities. More than three hundred Indian institutions and organizations interested in academic collaborations participated in the Summit.

Some of the top US Universities included Case Western Reserve University, Ohio, Clarkson University, New York, Concordia University, Canada, Duke University, North Carolina, D’Youville College, New York, Drexel University, Pennsylvania, Florida International University, Florida, Florida State University, Florida, Governors State University, Illinois, John Carroll University, Ohio, Longwood University, Virginia, Pacific Graduate School of Psychology, California, Roosevelt University, Illinois, Saint Louis University, Missouri, Sacred Heart University, Connecticut, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, South Dakota, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, Illinois, Southern University and A&M College, Louisiana, Temple University, Pennsylvania, Texas Christian University, Texas, Tufts University, Massachusetts, U3 Ventures, Pennsylvania, University of Alaska, Fair Banks, University of Bridgeport, Connecticut, University of Central Arkansas, Arkansas, University of Massachusetts-Boston, Massachusetts, University of Oregon, Oregon, University of Rochester, New York, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, WVU Institute of Technology, West Virginia and Widener University School of Law, Delaware.

This summit would also take place in Hyderabad on November 10 & Bangalore on November 13.
