SGI builds Fiat Project Car for 2010 Racing Season

SGI has been known for offering design services to the automotive aftermarket, and fresh on the release of their Project King Ranch, they have announed they will be building a car for the 2010 racing season.

Nov. 6, 2009 - PRLog -- SGI's designer Michael Satterfield has just returned from SEMA and unveiled a concept that is already in underway in the Southern California garage at SGI headquarters. SGI recently completed a Classic Ford F250 finished in the style of a modern King Ranch Superduty. The current car started life as a stock 1974 Fiat X1/9 and the team at SGI hope to turn it into a track monster by spring 2010. The car has been dubbed project Budget Elise and has the goal of building a car that can compete with a Lotus Elise for less than 10% of the cost.
