To Celebrate National Novel Writing Month

Emma Martin talks about the ups & downs of writing her debut novel Racy!

Nov. 3, 2009 - PRLog -- Please join us to hear this inspiring Confident Lady tell of her sheer drive and determination to realise her dream despite the obsticales in her way.

Emma didn't know she'd always wanted to write, though her father was a fantastic storyteller and as a child she always wished she could think of stories as fabulous as his! In terms of whether she found the writing process easy or hard Emma would have to say, a combination of the two.

Emma began writing Racy when she gave up her career in sales to look after her children, her eldest son was one and her twins had just been born. She was looking for a book to read and after searching the bookshelves in supermarkets and bookstores found there was nothing that really caught her eye. She wanted escapism and glamour, a novel that combined all this with a gripping story and strong characters. It became apparent very quickly that the ingredients she was looking for in a novel no longer seemed to be popular, after talking to a few other women, they told her they wanted the same. So she decided to take the bull by horns and write her own!!

Emma will talk us through the ups and downs of her ambition to become a published author and share with us the sheer euphoria she felt when she finially saw her debut novel 'Racy' in print.
