B.C. Songwriter Takes #1 Spot On Popular Indie Music Website

Nov. 2, 2009 - PRLog -- After just three weeks, the song "Hometown Remedy" penned by Canadian westcoast songwriter Michael Dekkers hit #1 on broadjam.com.  The song quickly rocketed to the top spot for listeners in the 37-50 age demographic.  "Hometown Remedy" also placed 4th in the "Top 10 Country - Contemporary" chart.  The song and four others were recorded by Dekkers in mid-October in Nashville.  Michael hopes to secure a publishing deal for the songs and sees the overwhelming response from Broadjam listeners as a positive sign of things to come.  The song can be heard at www.broadjam.com/michaeldekkers.
