Oct. 23, 2009 - PRLog -- The spanking new Samsung B7620 Giorgio Armani is definitely one of the most stylish mobiles we’ve seen. Ever. It comes in a sleek black shell casing which is perfectly accentuated by the bronze trimmings that surround this elegant Smartphone. It sports the slider form factor with its full QWERTY keyboard popping out from its left side. Although this may not be the first Samsung-Armani team up that has come out in the market (we had the Samsung M7500 Emporio Armani back in September 08 and the original Samsung Armani a year before), it would be safe to say that this is the best by far.

On the Onset

The first thing you’ll notice on the device (after you gawk at the bronze lining and the blatant Giorgio Armani label on top, that is) is its 3.5-inch resistive touch screen which boasts Samsung’s proprietary AMOLED technology. The powerful screen can display up to 16 million colours and has a resolution of 800 x 400 pixels.

Thanks to the accelerometer sensor, you can also choose to view the display in landscape mode which is further enhanced by the advanced R tilting feature of the B7620’s screen. Combined with the elegantly designed QWERTY keyboard, the device becomes a godsend for those who just can’t live without texting. This is definitely user friendliness at its best.

If we were to spot one negative in the B7620’s construction, it would be its slightly bulky frame. It measures 118.5 x 58.3 x 16.4 mm and weighs 164 grams, which is a bit bigger and heavier than usual. Then again, this Smartphone’s style and sophistication is matched by no other which still makes it a reputable contender.

Added Glamour

The B7620’s glamour is not restricted to its elegant design. It goes beyond the physical realm by also having a set of specialized Giorgio Armani features built-in. Although they may not be as useful as say, Google Maps, it still brings a more designer-like feel to the mobile which is definitely something its users will crave.

The Samsung B7620 is also loaded with a full array of Smart features which includes tri band 3G compatibility, Wi-Fi internet capability, as well as a functional 5-Megapixel camera, to name a few. The dual home screen mode will also let users easily switch from life to work mode depending on their current mobile requirements.

Hard and Soft Combo

What makes the Samsung B7620 Giorgio Armani even more impressive is its excellent hardware and software integration. Running under the hood is one of the most powerful mobile processors in the market – Samsung’s own 800 MHz S3C6410 processor which sports a dedicated graphics accelerator.

Running over the powerful CPU is Samsung’s customized version of the Windows Mobile OS. The current version on the device is 6.1, but Samsung promises a free upgrade once WinMo 6.5 is released later this year. Aside from doing some heavy work to improve the issues brought about by Windows Mobile, Samsung has also added their own TouchWiz 2.0 user interface which guarantees even more user friendliness and ease of use.
