Rita Lewis, Georgia Prosecuting Attorney in Butts County releases new Book "Excuse Me Your Honor"

Oct. 22, 2009 - PRLog -- "Sometimes you just have to laugh, explains Aurhor, Rita Lewis." As a Prosecuting Attorney for the State of Georgia in rural Butts County, Ms. Lewis has seen her share of oddities in the Courtroom.  The truth that she deals with everyday is not a laughing matter.  But when these events are seen for what they are - stupid, senseless acts - it all becomes oddly humourous.
Ms. Lewis documented these stories for years.  "I used to tell these stories to other attorneys, and they would share their stories with me. "You can't make this stuff up, you know, " she explains.  I was encouraged to publish after I received such rousing applause when I read some sections of the work at an OPEN MIKE event at Generations Gallery Writing Conference in The Village at Indian Springs.  Since then I have rewritten and fine tuned the stories many times.  "It is finally a book, and I am an author by accident, not plan," the busy attorney wrote her publisher, Kathy Socha at Phase One Design Services Inc.
