Simply a Case of Hope

Oct. 22, 2009 - PRLog -- A Case of Hope is the program that Shana Smith, the new Mrs. Southern California United States will be championing.  She began this program last year for  children currently in or entering domestic violence emergency shelters in Orange County.   A Case of Hope is aimed at helping the transition for children entering domestic violence emergency shelters.  She will be collecting the following items to be given to each child coming in to the shelters.

** New Pillow Cases
** Pajama’s
** Baby Blankets
** Coloring books and crayons
** Journals
** Pens/Pencils
**Stuffed Animals

Mrs. Smith believes that "Each child entering a shelter had to give their normal up too; often that includes all of their belongings. I want to give these children something of their own to take with them regardless of whether or not they go to another shelter, a transitional housing program or back home".  Shana has been volunteering with Human Options, Laura’s House along with several other organizations sees a great need for a program like this.
