Beat The Postal Strike!

CharityGreetings.com offers digital Christmas cards that raise money for charity

Oct. 22, 2009 - PRLog -- CharityGreetings.com, a new London-based company, has developed an exact digital replica to the traditional greeting card. Each digital card sent raises a minimum of £1 for a charity of the sender’s choice and being paper free, it means they are better for the environment too.

The postal strike is a perfect opportunity for consumers to take their wishes into their own hands this Christmas. By sending their Christmas cards digitally though Charity Greetings, consumers will be able to beat the strike and connect with friends and family in a more meaningful way, putting charity at the heart of their holiday messages.

Charity Greetings give an experience similar to receiving a paper card, so much so that consumers can display them on their personalised virtual mantelpiece, which they can share with friends. The unique technology of the mantelpiece, which has never been used before, is highly intuitive so everyone can get involved.

Charitable giving is down £1.3 billion this year, which is an 11 percent drop year-on-year (Charities Aid Foundation, Sept 2009). CharityGreetings.com is a new, innovative way to help charities raise money. So far, over 100 charities have signed up to CharityGreetings.com and the list is ever-growing.

Craig Hartzel, Charity Greetings founder says,  “We have a simple aim at Charity Greetings: to make giving fun and easy so that charity can fit into everyone's lifestyle. As Christmas is the season of goodwill, it seems like the perfect time to start.”

Jessica Stickland from participating charity Guide Dogs agrees, “Charity Greetings really is a fantastic way of supporting charities such as Guide Dogs, whilst wishing Season’s Greetings to your loved ones at the same time.”
