Oct. 22, 2009 - PRLog -- Dublin, 29th September 2009: EcoSecurities, a leading company in the business of sourcing, developing, and trading carbon credits from greenhouse gas emission reduction projects, has partnered with Baker & McKenzie LLP, a leading climate change law firm, and ClimateBiz, the resource for climate management, to conduct a quantitative research study on the corporate attitudes and trends surrounding carbon management strategies and carbon offsetting. The findings of this new and exciting report will be presented at The Carbon Show in the ExCel London on 29th September 2009.

The Carbon Show is the first international exhibition dedicated to carbon, covering everything from carbon consulting and carbon audits to low-carbon solutions for businesses. It is the ideal occasion to learn about the findings of this significant piece of research, which uses the data supplied by over 300 respondents to not only highlight the needs, wants and motivations of corporations across the globe but to also compare to the responses and market conditions seen in the previous year’s report.

To find out more about this report and how the results could affect your company, please come to the Green Dragons Den at 2.30–3.15pm on the 29th September for the scheduled panel debate or alternatively visit us at stand 62 to collect your free copy.

The survey received 311 responses from a mix of global, multinational and regional companies, covering a diverse range of sectors and industries. The data collected from 31 carbon companies was removed and analysed separately in order to understand the motivations of the end-users of carbon offsets. It provides significant insight into companies’ perceptions of carbon offset projects and the voluntary carbon market. Support for this research initiative was provided from a number of organisations, which include: 2Degrees, Borealis Offsets, Carbonoffsetsdaily.com, GreenBiz, The Karo Group and Westgate.
