Student Editorial and News Magazine Academic Perspective Launches

Academic Perspective, a student-created online news and editorial magazine, has launched. Beginning October 19th, It will be publishing a series of articles discussing today's major issues: the economy, healthcare, President Obama, and education.
 
Oct. 18, 2009 - PRLog -- Academic Perspective, a student-created online news and editorial magazine, has launched its website (http://www.academicperspective.com). Academic Perspective is a news and editorial blog written by students. It aims to cover news and important issues from a broad perspective, and omits coverage of high school events that fill most high school newspapers. Academic Perspective is overseen by Editor-in-Chief and founder, Ben Drucker. With three additional editors and over ten staff writers, Academic Perspective will provide daily content. Topics covered by the staff of over 10 regular contributors range from national politics and economics to social commentary to critical analysis of art and culture.

Even before its launch, Academic Perspective has developed interest in internet communities. On social networking website Twitter, the website's account had gained 310 followers in just over a week.

Academic Perspective is the first online magazine run and created by high school students. It seeks to reach a broader, nationwide audience and establish a new standard of excellence student journalism.
