The project's goal is to provide free books to those in need (underprivileged children, prisoners, etc.). Project members are required to provide one copy of their book to any of the project's beneficiaries in exchange for a listing on the website.
Cathcart has contributed a copy of her debut novel, "In The Eye of The Beholder," to the Women's Prison Book Project under the auspices of the Shadow Forest Authors.
