TUVRheinland Selects New Sr. VP for Business Stream Industrial Services
TÜVRHEINLAND® has named Deep Krishnan its Senior Vice President of Business Stream Industrial Services. Krishnan was formerly the Vice President of U.S. Operations for TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc.
In his new position, Krishnan will manage North American business development for the industrial sector. He will oversee strategy and business development in three business units: Unified Testing Services, Inc., Non-Destructive Testing Services, Inc., Pressure Equipment and Material Technology Services. Simultaneously, he will manage Strategy and Business Development for the company’s North American Mobility Business Stream, which includes the Automotive and Guided Transport Systems (railway and transit) Divisions.
Krishnan joined TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc. in 1996 as a Regional Sales Manager. He was promoted to National Director of Sales in 2003 and eventually became Vice President of U.S. Operations in 2006. During his time with the company, he helped quadruple sales in a little over a decade and, in 2008, was involved in the acquisition of two material testing services companies: Unified Testing Services, Inc. and Non-Destructive Testing Services, Inc.
Previously, Krishnan spent eight years in the oil services industry with Schlumberger Well Services, working at onshore and offshore locations in South and Central America as well as North Africa. While there, he progressed from a Field Engineer position to Base Manager, managing the company’s remote locations. He handled the marketing, sales and operations, in one location. Through his efforts, Krishnan helped increase the company’s sales by 50% in two years, boosting productivity and profits by streamlining operations.
In the United Kingdom, Krishnan founded and managed a consultancy company that provided business development and planning assistance to small- and medium-sized companies.
Krishnan has a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from City University in London, England, a master of business administration from the Cranfield School of Management in Cranfield, England and a diploma in Geology and Electronics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
