Oct. 13, 2009 - PRLog -- Robert Kernodle, creator of fluidism art, has used libraries for over twenty-five years.  He considers libraries as  shared spaces for quiet, reflective thinking, where people practice   common respect for one another.  Unfortunately, today's trends in library design and philosophy are undermining this quiet, which has forced Kernodle to create the website, Library Quiet:

This website features the article, "Rethinking Quiet", which focuses on the fear of silence in Western society and how this fear has helped to undermine respect for quiet public spaces such as libraries.

Kernodle believes that there is a way to  view silence in positive, creative terms.  Furthermore, there is a  right way to create quiet library spaces that embody this positive view of silence.
