Oct. 13, 2009 - PRLog -- UK resident Mike Strange has became the one millionth visitor to walk through the doors of QDeck - the observation deck atop Q1, the world's tallest residential tower located on the Gold Coast, Australia.

After retiring last week and celebrating a birthday on Saturday, Strange was in disbelief as he walked through an arch of balloons to be greeted by the cheering QDeck team with streamers, poppers, glitter and of course some fabulous prizes.

In addition to a QBar voucher, QDeck memorabilia, flowers and champagne, Strange and his wife were treated to dinner at the exclusive Palazzo Versace hotel with Hollywood style limousine transfers thanks to Lux in Black.

During their three week stay on the Gold Coast, a priority on the couples to-do list was a 'happy snap' outside of Palazzo Versace so they were ecstatic to learn not only would they get to take a photo of the worlds only Versace hotel but they would also get an opportunity to experience dining there as well. The couple will be treated to three sumptuous courses with complimenting Sommelier selected wines at the multi award winning Vie Bar and Restaurant.

QDeck celebrates their millionth visitor after less than four years in operation and looks forward to welcoming their two millionth visitor in the not too distant future.

Situated on the 77th floor of the Q1 tower, the world's tallest residential building, QDeck provides stunning 360 degree panoramic views that stretch from the surf to the hinterland and beyond.

Located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, QDeck is the only beachside observation deck of its kind in Australia, where visitors can experience the shimmering Gold Coast skyline with a cocktail at night, or take in views from Brisbane to Byron Bay during the day.

The observation deck has fast become synonymous with the Gold Coast, much like the Eiffel Tower is to Paris and the Empire State Building to New York.

With its breathtaking views, QDeck has become a favourite destination for both visitors and locals to observe the beauty of the Gold Coast, from its buzzing metropolitan centre to the white sandy beaches and the majestic hinterland.

International Sales and Marketing Manager Fiona Heron was excited by the news of a UK national winning the millionth visitor prize. ‘We have had such significant growth from the international markets this year that I was positive the millionth ticket holder would be one of our overseas visitors. QDeck is extremely popular with guests from the UK as they are often here to visit family or friends and the attraction is a fantastic way to showcase our beautiful city’.
