When Your Situation Says (And It Came to Pass) A Message of Hope
Sunday October 11, 2009 at Living Word Community Church located in the city of Lauderhill, Fl; Pastor Allen B. Jackson preached about how and when your circumstance or situation comes to pass you have to lean on the everlasting arms of God.
By: Lynn Brown
The text was taken from 1st Samuel 30:1-9 emphasizing on “and it came to pass”; then he skips to 1st Samuel 30:18-20. “And David Recovered all that the Am’alek-ites had carried away.” In other words he was saying: when your world has been turned upside down, you’ve already lost your job, you’ve already filed for bankruptcy, you’ve already received the final notice, and you filed the papers for divorce and Satan has come in and taken all that belongs to you, and now you are greatly distressed and your team/soldiers have decided to stone you…………………
Like David according to scripture 1st Samuel 30:6-8 Pastor Jackson gave three things we need to ponder on (1.) Turn to God (you must encourage yourself); now before David did anything else he requested his Ephod, his priestly rob before talking with God, we have to put on our covering before we go before the master, because you just can’t walk into the holies of holies any kind of way (2). You must talk to God. (As you are talking to God you need to inquire on how to handle your circumstance, situation or your business), and last but not least (3). You must trust God (because after David sought God, God answered and told David to pursue.) in other words go and get your stuff back!!!!!!!!!!
Pastor Jackson demonstrates that when you Turn to God, Talk to God and Trust God; he will make a way out of no way, he will open up doors that have been closed in your face, he will deliver all that has been taken from you and then some , But you have to believe in God, when he tells you to take a stand, he has your back when the enemy is on your track, he has you when friends and family have walked away, he has you when you have done all that you can do, he will make the way. And he stated to the congregation that we need to be like rapper Mc Hammer when he wrote his hit song “Can’t Touch This!!!!!!!”
Sunday's message was not about prosperity, it was not about the lord is going to bless you if you sew a seed in this ministry, it was not about stepping out on Faith and giving up your light-bill money, Pastor Jackson preached to the people regarding their circumstance and situation during a time like this when the economy is bad, many have lost their jobs, and they are not sure of how they are going to make ends meet. This message was a message of Hope; taking back what has been taken from you and know that when you receive you will receive double for your trouble.
What the people need to know and hear in times like this is that we can no longer handle business as usual; we are going to have to preach sound doctrine, and understand that we can’t beat God’s giving no matter how hard we try.
Pastor Jackson ended his message with quoting the words to the song “I want complain” “I have had some good days, I have had some hills to climb, but all my good days out way my bad days and I, I want complain.”
