About the Author:
Richard Vaughn left school when he was 14 and has a wide range of work experience: dairy farming, working in the bush, deer culling, freezing works, the New Zealand Army, boiler maker welder on construction sites and hydro dams, teaching.  He attended Waikato University 1975-1981 graduating with a Diploma in Education and Masters Degree in Psychology. He is married and lives in Cambridge New Zealand. Rowena and the Magic Hawk is his first novel.
