Gary Hoey Joins Rock House’s Roster Of Instructors

Oct. 2, 2009 - PRLog -- Rock House, the leader in music instruction, announced today that world renowned instrumental rock guitarist Gary Hoey has joined Rock House’s roster of master instructors. The Boston-based artist has sold more than 1 million records over his career and has solidified his status as one of the most skilled and technically proficient guitarists in the world. His series of blood-boiling albums are heavy on riffage while upholding the basic rock-and-roll values of melodies, hooks and heart. “Gary’s diverse technique and exceptional talent have rightfully earned him worldwide recognition,” said Joe Palombo, Executive Director of Rock House. “We’re excited to collaborate with Gary and look forward to delivering a high caliber rock product from a legendary talent.”

Gary launched his career in 1993 with the hit song "Hocus Pocus." His fiery guitar technique helped to propel it into the top 5 on Billboards charts, out pacing all others as the most frequently played rock song of the year. He will appear in a DVD which will be a multi-level program designed for intermediate and advanced players who want to learn and understand the way he uniquely blends Rock, Blues and Surf guitar techniques into his music. In addition, the content will also include instruction on how he writes instrumental songs and the leads. Production is slated for the Fall of 2008, with a release date scheduled for early 2009.

Gary has toured and traded licks with the likes of Brian May, Ted Nugent, Foreigner, Joe Satriani, The Doobie Bros, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai and Peter Frampton to name a few. Even Legendary Guitarist Dick Dale, king of the Surf guitar, gave Hoey his blessing, proclaiming him his favorite modern guitarist. In addition to guitar playing and performing he is also a writer and producer for clients like DISNEY, X-GAMES, ESPN and NO FEAR. He sometimes can be found performing the National Anthem for Major League Baseball teams.
