Sept. 23, 2009 - PRLog -- New Orleans, LA--- During what is known as one of the largest gatherings of black business talent and know-how, Glenn Amedee and his family will invite those in attendance at the National Black MBA Association Conference to a TweetUp, at his family's business, The Perfect Fit Bar & Grill.

Located just four blocks from the famous French Quarter, the street where the Perfect Fit Bar & Grill is located--St. Bernard Avenue, was once a thriving city street filled with black-owned businesses. "The interstate came through back in the late 1960's and killed the black businesses here, " states Amedee.  The Amedee family plans to bring it back.  The family owns The Wisdom, which is a full service reception hall business, that seats some 300 guests. The Amedee's opened The Wisdom 7 1/2 years prior to the Hurricane Katrina devastation, and have since rebuilt the operation, while also building the popular night spot, The Perfect Fit Bar and Grill.   Now the family has its sights set on building a multi-million dollar complex, they have named, "Inspire".  Inspire will be an upscale night club created in a similar style as The House of Blues.  The multi-use venue will offer patrons a membership, and will feature cabaret-style seating, and have a capacity to hold up to 800 guests.

"New Orleans is still a place doin' its thing 24/7, and the Amedee family intends to provide the venues for the people. By whatever means we get some of the MBA Conference attendees into The Perfect Fit, is alright with me!", says Glenn Amedee.  It was New Orleans author and speaker, Zara Green that suggested the idea for the event, featuring one of her Twitter buddies, Alfred Edmond. "Since he (Alfred) was going to be in town anyway, I figured why not contact his PR person to make it happen?"

A TweetUp is an event hosted by people in a locale who have connected via the Twitter social networking site. The invitation to participate in a TweetUp is generally communicated via the 140-character tweets, and is then spread virally by way of e-mail, Facebook and word-of-mouth.

The TweetUp is open to the general public, with no admission fee.
