Community News and Information Web Site exceeds 270,000 monthly page views

Sept. 21, 2009 - PRLog -- Connections Planet.com is growing at a pace that most small businesses would never dream of reaching.

Connections Planet is a community news and information web site (www.connectionsplanet.com) that features a 15-page section for every one of the 33,507 residential zip codes in the United States.

According to Connections Planets president Carl Forsell, "Our site is a community service.  We are recruiting a person in every zip code to manage their zip codes section of the site, and earn a decent work from home income at the same time."

For August 2008 the site attracted about 8,000 page views for the month.  August 2009 saw an increase to over 270,000.  According to Forsell, many sites report traffic as the number of "hits".  "Hits are deceptive because a web page with five pictures on it will be reported as six hits.  A page with 10 pictures will be 11 hits (page + pictures).  A Page view is strictly the number of times a person views a page on the site.  We want to report honest numbers so our zip code managers and advertisers have a realistic count."

Forsell added that, "... most web sites on the Internet contain a few dozen pages, and some go up to the hundreds.  Connections Planet is over 550,000 pages!”
