Charleston Designers Launch Dockside Fashion Show To Benefit Water Missions International

Three local and emerging Charleston fashion designers show collections in the first Dockside Fashion Show benefiting Water Missions International.
 
Sept. 13, 2009 - PRLog -- Charleston, S.C. - The first Dockside Fashion Show will feature collections from local fashion labels SARAH MAXWELL, TROUBADOUR and ONE LOVE by Rachel Gordon. Models will walk the runway Sat., Oct. 3,2009 at the Dockside Pier located between the Aquarium and Maritime Center at 330 Concord Street. (Charleston, S.C. 29401) Gates open at 5 p.m. with the first show beginning at 5:15 p.m. A portion of this year's proceeds will benefit Water Missions International. The official after party will be held at Shine located on the corner of King and Line Street.

In addition to fashion, this year’s show will feature jewelry and handbags from Add Libb Designs, Theodosia Jewelry, Cavortress by Julie Wheat, Library: Archives of Fashion and Dee Ruel. “The Dockside Fashion Show is an exciting event taking place on the Charleston harbor that will recognize and promote local designers, artists and businesses, all while raising money for a deserving charity,” said designer Sarah Acker of SARAH MAXWELL. Runway looks will be available for purchase at the Shine trunk show, Wed., Oct. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Tickets for the event are limited. General admission tickets are $20 / $25 at the door. VIP tickets are available for $40 and include end of the pier seating with access to a private bar. Tickets can be purchased in advance at J.Paulz, Shine and Salon Capelli. A Rain date is scheduled for Sun., Oct. 4, 2009.
