With great pride and pleasure, The Gallery of Gnani Arts invites you to be an
esteemed guest at the official opening preview of POP GANESHA! The 4th Show, on 17
September 2009 (7pm) at The Gallery of Gnani Arts (The Regent Singapore).
 
POP GANESHA will be an intriguing revelation of many individual, highly creative
views, conveyed in the form of a painting or a drawing, of what Ganesha means to
each one of the ten enthusiastic participating artists - Alpana Vij, Aparna
Sundaresh, J. Kalidass, Dr Manju Chandran, Richard Chen Yunxiao, Sarbani
Bhattacharya, Sudakshina Ghosh, Sunaina Bhalla, Swapna Reddy and Tasneem Moochhala.
 

POP GANESHA is the 4th in an exclusive series of art exhibitions, presented by The
Gallery of Gnani Arts, that showcases contemporary depictions of Ganesha, a popular
Hindu god; an elucidating symbol in Indian mythology; an influential aspect of
contemporary Hindu/Indian life; and a dynamic global cultural icon.. Here, the
artists (who hail from various cultural and religious backgrounds) are challenged to
think beyond conventional, stereotypical portrayals of Ganesha.
