Specialty Market & Butcher Shop Now Open in Hoover, Alabama

Sept. 10, 2009 - PRLog -- The Cajun Cleaver is a locally owned and operated specialty market and butcher shop in Hoover, Alabama.  We are proud to carry All Natural meats such as Duroc, Thunder Ridge, Meyer, and Springer Mountain Farms, which promise no hormones, no antibiotics and no preservatives. We are also committed to providing homemade dinner entrees, side dishes, homemade pork and chicken sausages, specialty Louisiana style foods, soups, and gumbo at reasonable prices so our customers can enjoy home cooked meals without having to do the work.

We added a Catering Menu in September and on October 1st, 2009 we will begin carrying a selection of beer and wine. The Cajun Cleaver will carry some well-known beer and wine labels, unique and organic wines, and a variety of the new high gravity beers. We'll introduce our Bites & Flight Club, which will be regular wine and beer tastings and pairings with some of our specialty foods.

Owners Nick & Adrienne Morris have worked diligently to pursue their dream of owning their own business and providing a way for families and friends to eat together. "These days everyone is busy without much time left to sit around the dinner table. Our goal is to provide a way for people to enjoy a delicious, home-cooked meal without having to worry about finding the time to prepare it," says Adrienne Morris

Nick Morris is a native of Zachary, Louisiana and grew up in a family that still has a passion for creating foods with a Cajun flair. He currently lives in Hoover, Alabama. He graduated with a B.S. from Louisiana State University. Nick has worked throughout Louisiana, Montana, Georgia, and Alabama in restaurants and restaurant management.

Adrienne Maughan Morris is a native of Hoover, Alabama. She graduated from Shades Valley High School. She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and an MBA from Capella University. Adrienne spent 9 years teaching Elementary school in Hoover before moving into educational sales.

Their combined years of experience in sales, education, and restaurant management have given them extensive experiences in building relationships and strategic partnerships. They are excited about serving their community.
