Monterey Boats Introduces Three New Sportboats At 2009 Dealer Meeting

Sept. 9, 2009 - PRLog -- Williston, FL - Monterey Boats unveiled three all-new cruisers at the company’s annual dealer meeting in August -- The 320SY SportYacht, the 280SCR SportCruiser and the 260SCR SportCruiser.

The cream of the crop is the 2009 320SY Sport Yacht. With an overall length of 33’ 10” and a spacious beam of 10’ 10”, the introduction of the 320SY Sport Yacht essentially completes the company’s line-up of eight cruisers boats ranging from 26 to 41 feet. Featuring European styling and a forward extended arch, this new model raises the bar in style, beauty and class.

Packed with amenities above and below deck, the 320 defines yachting luxury and boating performance. Dual, extra-wide seats are situated at the helm – 40” on the driver side, 36” for the passenger. A large fiberglass sliding door with extra-sized integrated steps leads to the foredeck. More amenities include optional 16,000 BTU cockpit air, cockpit television, and optional Flexiteek inlay for the swim platform. The 320SY Sport Yacht can also be equipped with the industry’s most revolutionary advanced propulsion and navigation systems, including Volvo’s new gas EVC or MerCruiser’s exciting new Axius, for increased boat maneuverability.

Edgy, contemporary interior lines and a full fiberglass headliner highlight the style down below. The cabin is rich with luxury and elegance, with Sapele African mahogany wood trim, wood mini blinds, an enclosed fiberglass head and fully-appointed galley with sink, designer faucet, dual burner electric stove, coffee maker, microwave and cabinets. The full-size V-berth has a quilted mattress cover, privacy curtain and storage underneath, as does the comfortable island berth with luxurious UltraLeather – perfect for overnighters or just quick naps between destinations. Completing the vast array of entertainment amenities is a 22-inch flat screen TV.

The all-new 280SCR Sport Cruiser has an overall length of 29 feet and an expanded, spacious and comfortable beam of 9’ 2”. Monterey Boats has also added the popular option of sun island aft seating, in addition to the standard dunnage box seating configuration.

You can plot a course for any destination in style in the new 280SCR Sport Cruiser.  A gel-coated gray dash houses all of the necessary instrumentation at the ergonomically-designed helm station, along with a comfortable companion seating arrangement featuring flip-up thigh rise and a convenient fiberglass storage compartment underneath. The helm also stays cool thanks to an extraordinarily-designed air duct that feeds from the cabin of the boat.

The boat's cockpit also features an expanded entertainment center with optional refrigerator. Access to the engine compartment is a breeze with electronic engine hatches, and plug-and-play wiring makes service hassles a thing of the past.  

A home away from home is the best way to describe the cabin, which can accommodate a large crew with ample space, storage and sleeping arrangements throughout. Cook meals with the fully-appointed wood-trimmed galley and enjoy them at your dinette table, which easily stores back away into its dedicated storage compartment. The all-new 260SCR Sport Cruiser has an overall length of 27’ 6” coupled with a wide comfortable beam of 8’ 6” and includes standard dunnage box aft seating, as well as an optional sun island configuration.

The 260SCR Sport Cruiser is an engineering marvel, with striking lines and yacht-like exterior styling. A conveniently-located wet bar with a solid surface insert, sink, faucet and storage is easily accessible from the comfortable cockpit seating arrangements. A technologically-advanced dash features centered electronics, a design unlike anything else in its class. The extended swim platform complete with a telescoping recessed ladder allows you to anchor out and enjoy the cool blue waters at any of your destinations, while the optional aft sun island seating is ideal for tanning and lounging.  

A large fiberglass sliding door with extra-sized integrated steps leads to the foredeck. Down below, this model offers a newly-designed galley with Karadon countertops, cabinets, single burner electric stove, refrigerator, microwave and stainless steel sink. Comfortable sleeping arrangements are abundant, while synthetic wood flooring makes you feel like you’re home. Watching your favorite movies with your family is an added treat with the optional 15” TV/DVD player.
