Phoenix Housing Market Hits Bottom

Sales price and volume data indicates that the phoenix housing market has hit bottom.

Sept. 5, 2009 - PRLog -- Based on the sales volume data for the Phoenix market or more specifically Maricopa county. We hit bottom at the end of 2008 with around 3500 closed housing transactions in November 2008 and around 3700 closings in Jan 2009. The current sales volume is about double those numbers with over 7000 closings in May, June, July and August 2009.

The pricing data shows the lowest average sales price was in April 2009 of below $120,000 which has increased to around $130,000 for June, July and August 2009.

Based on the data it appears that we have hit a market bottom and we are bouncing along at this level for the time being.
