Sept. 4, 2009 - PRLog -- The Sensorex S175CD spear tip electrode provides a rugged piercing tip pH glass ideal for pH measurements in solids such as meats, cheeses and other solid or semi-solid samples requiring sample penetration at an economical price.  Unlike some models that use a separate lance or blade to pierce the sample, the Sensorex spear tip glass serves as the piercing element and pH glass at one time.  The sealed gell-filled reference junction requires no maintenance and the epoxy body prevents breakage of the electrode, common with glass body models.  A double junction design protects the reference from degradation due to proteins and other materials the react with Silver Chloride (AgCl) and the large surface area primary junction resists fouling from samples.
