“Semblances & Me, Eastern Voices World Music” A Music Album by Sandeep Khurana

Sept. 6, 2009 - PRLog -- “Semblances & Me, Eastern Voices World Music”, is the title of the upcoming album composed by California based music producer Sandeep Khurana. With more than a dozen albums in the market, and genres ranging from Classical, Fusion, and New Age to Rock, Spiritual and Psychedelic, Sandeep describes his latest album as a blend of Eastern Voices and World Music, a gift for those who like listening to Indian Classical, Fusion, Rhythm ‘N’ Blues, and Trance Music.  

The album features five versatile singers and highlights the varied shades of emotions, which a woman experiences in her lifetime from longing, love, joy, pain to celebration, with each song portraying a different dimension of her personality.  

Among the vocalists, Madhu Mathur Anand is a versatile performer with an extensive repertoire in North Indian traditional, and popular vocal music. She has toured extensively in North America and performed with singers like Anup Jalota.   She hails from the family of Girija Kumar Mathur, the poet who wrote the famous patriotic song ‘Hum Honge Kamayab’.  Rita Sahai is an acclaimed composer and performer, and tours extensively throughout the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and India. She also lends her voice to diverse musical projects including laying down vocal tracks for Grammy Award winning blue grass artist Bella Fleck and performing on Alonzo Kings Sacred Texts, a CD that won the Isadora Duncan award for music excellence. Renoo Nathan is a well known classical singer and has great albums to her credit.  Shubhra and Nikita are upcoming artists with a versatile range.  

Sandeep Khurana has studied music in prestigious music schools in India and Ali Akbar Khan College of Music, California, before he began composing music. He also holds a degree in Computer Engineering and has studied Film Direction, Production and TV Journalism at the Asian Academy of Film & TV, University of Media Arts, India. He is engaged in sound design for short films, documentaries and albums, and his music is available on all premier online stores.

His discography also includes psychedelic music albums e.g. ‘Ethereal Soundscapes’ and ‘Digital Percussion’ and Bollywood instrumental albums e.g. ‘RD Burman, The Digital Way’, and ‘Kishore Kumar, The Gifted Voice’. Among the albums he has released on yoga and healing music, the popular ones are ‘Yoga Music by SK Infinity’, ‘Reiki Music’, ‘Nature Sounds Music for Relaxation’, and ‘Shiva, Sacred Chants by SK Infinity’.
