Follow on Google News | Canadian Actor Quinn Lord Makes His Toronto International Film Festival DebutCanadian youth actor Quinn Lord makes his debut at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival with two films, THE HOLE screening September 12, 2009 and THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS screening September 18.
By: Jordyn K. Borczon / MLC PR Quinn shares, “I really loved playing my character in ‘The Hole;’ it’s totally opposite to who I really am, so it was a challenging role, but crazy, fun and a challenge. It’s pretty cool that it is in 3-D and a thrilling family film like one of my favorites, ‘The Goonies!’ I am so excited to have two different films at the film festival, and I am really looking forward to seeing them both.” To date, Quinn has appeared in over twenty-five film and television productions including roles on top television programs such as BLADE, STARGATE SG-1, THE L WORD, and SUPERNATURAL. He has also appeared in over twenty-five national and international commercials. Additionally, Quinn was nominated for a Young Artist Award in 2008 for his recurring role on the hit television series SMALLVILLE. Some of Quinn’s most notable film work to date includes appearing in the dramatic feature film THINGS WE LOST IN THE FIRE alongside Oscar winners Halle Berry and Benicio Del Toro, DECK THE HALLS with Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick, and his voice work, starring as the lead voice “Linus” in PEANUTS for Warner Bros. and as the top billed lead voice “Jason” for three seasons in 3-2-1 PENGUINS! In addition to his two films premiering at TIFF, Quinn can be seen in the Warner Bros. feature film TRICK ‘R TREAT, an anthology of four Halloween-related horror stories, starring as the lead role of “Sam” out on DVD and Blue Ray on October 6, 2009. Quinn also recently finished shooting SECOND CHANCES, opposite actress Melissa George for Movie Central/Movie Network – due out in 2010. Quinn Lord is represented by Lena Lees at Play Management, and Thor Bradwell and Bonnie Liedtke at William Morris Endeavor (WME) Entertainment.
