Folding Guitar Owner Jeff Cohen Featured On Abc “shark Tank” Turns Down $.5 Mil. From The Shark
Nashville’s Savannah Music Group and Voyage-Air Guitar CEO, Jeff Cohen, appeared on the ABC Network TV show “Shark Tank” Sunday, August 23rd -
The last entrepreneur of the evening to make the long walk into the Shark Tank was serial entrepreneur Jeff Cohen, accompanied by his son Josh, to solicit $500,000 for 5% of Voyage-Air Guitar. After choking on these numbers, the Sharks perked up when they saw what the guitar could do: fold in half and fit into a backpack for travel. Cohen, CEO of the company that owns the patent, soon tangled with the Sharks over the company's estimated value. While Cohen stood firm on a value of ten million dollars, the Sharks were doubtful. Soon one of the Sharks bit- Cohen was offered a half million dollars by Kevin O'Leary for 51% of a new company that the two would create to acquire the hinge patents with one stipulation:
