Aug. 28, 2009 - PRLog -- The famed Backstage Artist Lounge made tour dates in Pomona, CA and St. Louis, MO this weekend--hosting the backstage area for KROQ’s Epicenter and 105.7 the Point’s Pointfest. The Backstage Artist Lounge, presented by Christina Martin, integrates brands into a fun atmosphere for rock royalty backstage. Bands like Alice In Chains, Linkin Park, Tool and Wolfmother had the opportunity to enjoy the BAL’s presence on Saturday while Staind, Chevelle, Shinedown, Halestorm and Our Lady Peace hung out with the BAL all day Sunday. Hollywood Undead, Atreyu and Street Sweeper Social Club were able to get a double dose of the Lounge as they traveled from one to the other to play both festivals. Other bands inside the BAL this weekend included: Trapt, After Midnight Project, Sonny, Paper Tongues, Aesop Rock, Atmosphere, All That Remains, Evansblue, Billy Boy on Poison, Living Things, Copperview, Burn Halo, Janus, Shaman’s Harvest, Red Line Chemistry, Veer Union, Meese, Allusive, Brook Royal, Aranda, Iron Fist Dillusion, Make Me Break Me, Life Among The Dead, STRATA-G, Final Drive, From Mars to Venus, Arythma, Persona Crown, Exit 714, and Saence.

Inside the BAL is where all the action happened this weekend. Aurora Guitar Strings are the only guitar strings available today that are manufactured entirely from domestic components and they were used backstage to restring guitars. GlassTones Stringed Musical Instruments, LLC displayed models for bands to jam. Guitar Hands gifted an innovative cleansing lotion made especially for guitarists. VoiceCapo’s creator demoed the unique guitar accessory. Battle Born Studios gave all of bands certificates for recording time at their studio near the Las Vegas strip. HEAROS, official earplug partner of the BAL, gave the bands “skull screws” and “pretty in pink” earplugs from their line to enhance the bands listening experience while protecting their hearing. The Futon Shop was the center of attention with black and gold futons on which all the rock stars sat to read the latest issues of Revolver magazine. An amazing Black Market Bakery cake that was made specifically for the BAL wowed bands while they sampled CREAM, a flavored alcohol-infused whipped cream and Tito’s Handmade Vodka that were both a huge hit. Tippmann Paintball and Hollywood Sports teamed up to erect an actual laser-paintball playing field for the bands backstage. The BAL girls used Lisa Frank’s colorful notebooks to jot down notes backstage while Body Art Forms brought amazing body jewelry for the bands to take home with them. California Chariot gifted both Shinedown and Staind with their innovative skateboard and bike combo chariot. Tish & Snooky's MANIC PANIC NYC brought rock star hair dye and makeup. Bands snacked on power bars from Clif Bar. Westone set up a huge display for their renowned in-ear products, specifically their dual balanced armature driver UM2, which provides amazing low frequency response and rich, articulate mids and highs. Rock stars were also lining up inside the BAL to get a pair of BrightFeet Slippers, which are slippers that light up in the dark. After their shows, the bands had the opportunity to enjoy massages from Dtox Day Spa and hair styling by Oliver’s Studio, whose stylists wore designer hair stylist aprons by Jessie Steele.

The BAL also held private wardrobe sessions for bands get dressed in O’Quinn clothing, Civil Society Clothing, Reclaim Clique, Suemi Designs, Cardboard Robot, Junk Underjeans, Alkemy Clothing, Junk Food Clothing, Forged Clothing, Ed Hardy shoes, 968, 7Lightningbolt, and TATCo—TATCo is a clothing line owned/inspired by the tattoos of Zach Myers (Shinedown), Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach) and Scott Bartlett (Saving Abel). Christina Martin’s wardrobe was by Black Hearts Brigade and her jewelry combined a diamond piece by Heavenly Sinful with additional pieces by Blak Prince jewelry.

The BAL was especially eco-friendly this weekend, using biodegradable bags from BioBag and biodegradable guitar picks, drum sticks, and products from Wheatware—known for using biodegradable, compostable resin derived from wheat. Sweet Leaf Tea, an advocate for the “go green” campaign, also contributed a variety of their all-natural and organic sweet teas to the tour. Charitable beneficiaries of this weekend’s BAL tour dates include the Covenant House of California, which saves kids from the streets.

The Lounge is looking forward to joining Crüe Fest 2 on the road again this week for their West Palm Beach, FL (8/27), Atlanta, GA (8/29), and Saratoga Springs, NY (9/1) tour dates before the summer rock festival touring season comes to an end.
