James Kennedy. According to the program, individuals seeking medical help can expect lengthy wait times, rationed care, limited access to treatment, and fewer doctor choices, if the government grabs control of the nation’s health care system. http://www.coralridge.org/ While President Obama has blasted critics for suggesting his government-run health care program will lead to health care rationing, at a town hall meeting in July, the President told a woman whose elderly mother had life-saving surgery that “perhaps she just should have been given a pain killer.” “That’s a chilling response,” states Family Research Council’s Rob Schwarzwalder on the Sunday broadcast. “I think it indicates the kind of rationing approach the Obama Administration is taking.” Canadian resident Shona Holmes also warns of health care rationing under a government plan. Holmes rushed to the U.S. to have a brain tumor removed after Canada’s socialized health care system placed her on a waiting list, even as her condition grew worse. “In Canada, you’re a number and you’re lucky if you get in [to see a doctor]; you’re lucky if you get to see somebody,” Holmes states. “It’s very, very frustrating.” The Sunday Coral Ridge Hour broadcast is one of three television features that highlight the potential impact of health care reform on Americans. The programs are available on a DVD, The Health Care Lie. http://store.coralridge.org/ Program viewers may also sign a petition opposing the reform plan on Coral Ridge Ministries’ website. “The media wants us to believe that the case is closed, that so-called universal health care is guaranteed to pass,” asserts Coral Ridge Hour host Dr. Jerry Newcombe. “But don’t believe it. The President wanted this bill to pass in August, but there were not enough votes. Now we have a second chance to stop it, but we must act now.” INTERVIEW REQUESTS: To request an interview with Coral Ridge Hour host Dr. Jerry Newcombe, please contact Andrew Scott at a.scott@crministries.org, (954) 334-5332. # # # Coral Ridge Ministries http://www.coralridge.org is a media ministry founded over 30 years ago by Dr. D.
