Soundcast Outcast and Soundcast Outcast Junior - Drowned Out Garden Parties a Thing of the Past!

Aug. 26, 2009 - PRLog -- As some of you made know, when it comes to outdoor, all-weather speakers, Soundcast have been working wonders!

They started with the Soundcast Outcast. A wireless, battery powered, 360degree weather resistant speaker. Packed with a 100watt amplifier, 8inch Subwoofer in the bottom and all able to run for around 5-10 hours on a full charge at upto 350ft from its source.

Here at Wired4life do tend to enjoy playing with the latest toys and gadgets out there. When this little beauty came up we just had to pair it with one of our Sonos Multiroom System.

Imagine a Multiroom Audio System. A Sonos ZP120 Player (amplified), in the kitchen, living room, Home Cinema room and bedrooms 1-4. Then we hooked up a Sonos ZP90 Player (non-amplified) to the Outcast and presto, we have an outdoor multiroom source!

I am sure you will agree, this is more than you will need for those British BBQ's. You will most likely have had to MacGyver a marque because the weather typically went bad. At least you will have great sounding music without having to worry about it getting wet!

Did we stop there...? No, of course we didnt! Another product from the Soundcast range is their new Soundcast Outcast Junior. Just like its big brother, the Soundcast Outcast Junior is wireless, weather-resistant. It is however much smaller, lighter and packs a 50watt amplifier and a 6.5inch subwoofer.

As the Soundcast Outcast is capable of running up to two units from a single transmitter you are able to run both a Soundcast Outcast and a Soundcast Outcast Junior in parallel. For instance, a marque dancefloor for your Saturday Night Fever fans out there and at the other end of the garden, some lower level background music.

With the flexibility of wireless and battery power, even the most specific of outdoor layouts can more than likely be achieved.
