Summit County dealership hosts BBQ this Saturday to sell ducks for charity event

Aug. 21, 2009 - PRLog -- SILVERTHORNE, Colo. – Vista Auto Group in Silverthorne is hosting a barbeque this Saturday, August 22nd, to sell ducks for the upcoming Vista Subaru Great Rubber Duck Race held Labor Day weekend in Breckenridge.

The dealership will have free food, refreshments, giveaways, music and an 18-foot inflatable duck. The event will take place from 11:00 am and end at 2:00 pm.

The duck race is in its 22nd year acting as a fundraiser for the Summit Foundation. The foundation is a leader in building a legacy of generosity, supporting nonprofit organizations in our community that foster art & culture, health & human services, education, environment, scholarships, sports & recreation. The Summit Foundation has given over 10.5 million dollars back to the Community and has helped 218 local and neighboring agencies.

The Summit Foundation will celebrate its 25th Anniversary at this year’s Duck Race and attendance is expected to be a record breaker. The Town of Breckenridge will also be celebrating its 150th anniversary.
