Aug. 20, 2009 - PRLog -- Foothill Web Design, an affordable business/ecommerce web design company located in Silicon Valley, announced the completion of its first major project, an ecommerce website for Wolfer’s Feathered World parrot breeders. According to Foothill Web Design’s owner Steve Arnold, “Our goal is to help online sellers establish their own brand, instead of relying on eBay, Amazon and other restrictive venues for sales.”

Arnold is an eBay merchant who has worked with other eBay sellers for over 10 years. “I joined eBay in 1998 and wrote the first third-party software and first printed tutorial for eBay sellers. eBay’s recent transition from an auction collectibles site to corporate liquidator has left many small merchants without a proper place to sell. Foothill Web Design hopes to fill that void by providing sellers with affordable ecommerce websites and training in low-cost, guerrilla marketing techniques.”

Foothill Web Design uses a combination of free open-source and premium materials to create its ecommerce and business websites. It recently added reCAPTCHA, the same online registration system used by Facebook, Twitter and Ticketmaster, to all its websites free of charge. According to Arnold, “The combination of free open-source and premium tools lets us create powerful business websites at a fraction of the cost of custom development.”
