Aug. 19, 2009 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES - IVP Designs, a division of DLA Designs LLC, has launched a new fashion line available at its online web site and in selected boutique stores around the country.

The new line of prison-themed, French designed clothing features a variety of t-shirts all branded under the IVP banner, which is an acronym for the French "Inspire par la Vie Prisonniere" or “inspired by the prisoner’s life.”

The clothing line is brainchild of L. T. Deaton, who served time in a federal prison. During his incarceration Deaton learned of the little known and unofficial reputations of various prison facilities. With names like “Angola Rodeo”, “Pelican Bay Poker Club” and “Beaumont Boxing”, each t-shirt sports an intricate design and portrays a different club known only to those inside the federal prison system.

L. T. Deaton noted that “being inside was the worst experience a person can have. So when I got out, I was determined to turn a negative experience into a positive one, and IVP was born”. Deaton continues, “While I was serving time I was amazed to learn about the secret culture going on inside and even more amazed that no one on the outside was aware of it at all.” This revelation lead to the company’s slogan, “Are You Ready To Come Inside?”

True to its prison origins, each IVP t-shirt comes with a proprietary IVP woven label that is true to the look and location of a genuine federal prisoner’s ID tag. Additionally, each shirt comes with a unique peel-and-stick hanging tag that is identical to the woven label and also tells the story behind each prison design.

To ensure the highest quality product, the t-shirts were designed in France. France is world-renowned for the highest standards in both design and fashion. The garments are manufactured in both France and the United States.

Mindful of its origins, IVP will donate a percentage of profits the Prisoner’s Life, a charitable organization that helps former prisoners find a better path in life.
