ITSMA Announces 2009 Marketing Excellence Awards Finalists

Select winners will speak at ITSMA’s Annual Marketing Conference in Boston on October 27-28 along with digital marketing gurus Larry Weber, chairman, W2 Group and David Edelman, partner at McKinsey & Co.

Sept. 1, 2009 - PRLog -- LEXINGTON, Massachusetts -- ITSMA, the leading marketing association for technology, communications, and professional services firms, today announced the finalists in its twelfth annual Marketing Excellence Awards (MEA) program.

"We were overwhelmed with the quantity and quality of the entries this year," said Dave Munn, President and CEO of ITSMA. "The downturn brought out more entries than ever before, but also more examples of perseverance and ingenuity in the marketing community than we’ve seen. All of the applicants deserve recognition for their outstanding programs and initiatives, but I especially want to congratulate the finalists for their leadership in marketing innovation, program execution, and bottom-line results."

An international panel of marketing executives and experts will select the winners, which will be announced at a special awards ceremony during ITSMA’s 2009 Annual Marketing Conference [] on October 27 at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel.

This year's categories and finalists include:

- Account-Based Marketing: AT&T, BT, Capgemini, Wipro
- Enabling Sales: Avaya, Cisco (two programs), Iron Mountain, Xerox
- Targeted Demand Generation: Cognizant (two programs), Deloitte, HCL, Infosys
- Leveraging Digital Marketing: Accenture, CSC, Deloitte, Siemens, Telcordia
- Thought Leadership Marketing: Cisco, Deloitte, IBM, Infosys, Wipro
