“National Marina Day is an annual celebration of the important role marinas play in waterfront communities all across America,” said Dennis Raney, Harbormaster.  “Each day, this country’s marinas serve as safe, family-friendly gateways to boating and stewards of the environment. We hope you will visit Tarpon Point Marina, learn about your communities’ marina, and enjoy the events we have planned.”

National Marina Day is celebrated in conjunction with the Association of Marina Industries, the national trade association of the marina industry.

Tarpon Point Marina, which is located just three miles from the Gulf of Mexico, is open to the public and offers charter trips, boat rentals, maintenance services, eco-tours, and back-bay and tarpon fishing guided trips.

Additionally, the marina has premium dock slips available for rent.  Slip rates include water, pump-outs and fuel discounts, as well as the amenities of Tarpon Point Marina, including the swimming pool, Ship’s store, Captain’s Lounge and Social Pavilion.

The marina is part of Tarpon Point Marina, a Grosse Pointe Development community, offering coach homes, luxury, single-family homes and high-rise and mid-rise condominiums with waterfront access.  Also included is MarinaVillage, a high-rise resort opening in November that will include a waterfront promenade with retail shopping, salon and spa services, two restaurants and banquet facilities.
