The Panda Film Week in Ya'an Sichuan

Aug. 6, 2009 - PRLog -- The second period of "Panda, Animal and Nature Film Week" will be held in Ya'an, China from August 19th to August 25th. Source from the authority of Ya'an City, the films belong to 11 countries such as France, New Zealand and Switzerland etc. will participate in the film exhibition. During the film week, some tourist theme activities will be held including the animal and natural photographic exhibition, large evening party, trekking to find the pandas and the wild animal carnival etc.

Ya'an is famed for "the Home of China Panda". It is about 150 kilometers from Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan Province. In 1999, an ecological wild animal zoo was built there. In 2003, a panda base was built and opened to the public. Both the two are located in a picturesque valley-Bifengxia Valley, which is only 19 km from Ya'an City and known as the Mecca of the zoophiles and shutterbugs.
