Follow on Google News | Charlie Valentine Sweeps the 2009 AOF Film FestivalPasadena, CA – August 6, 2009 –The new film from director Jesse V. Johnson, CHARLIE VALENTINE swept up four major awards at the star studded 5th Annual Action On Film International Film Festival.

"This film has it all, action, drama, great performances, what more could an audience want?" continued Weston in an interview after the films’ premiere. The six day event was officially held at the Laemmle and Regency Theaters and the film premiered to a sold out house of fans who were joined by many of its stars and producers. Superstars Eric Bana (Troy), Ron Perlman (Hellboy) and Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy) attended the festival, which showcased nearly four hundred films on five screens during the week long celebration. During the black tie dinner and award show which was held on Thursday July 30, 2009 at the Fountain Ballroom of the Westin Hotel in Pasadena; CHARLIE VALENTINE took home a number of awards including Best Picture, Best Score, Best Cinematography and Action Film of the Year. Mr. Barry was on hand to receive the AOF Legends Award which was presented by the Mayor of Pasadena, Mayor Bill Bogaard. Previous AOF winners include David Carradine, Bill Duke, Costas Mandylor, John Savage and Michael Madsen. Festival Director Josh Neufeld said, “Everyone loved this film.
