Essential Air Conditioning - Where Air Con Becomes Essential for People

July 28, 2009 - PRLog -- Although some people see Air-Conditioning as a luxury, for a lot of people it could be a necessity.  The temperature is steadily rising thanks to global warming so year on year it will be warmer.
Sealed rooms
A lot of businesses need to keep their rooms sealed when they are working, for example photography suites or rehearsal studios, I’ve spent quite a lot of time in both of these and after even an hour on a hot day it becomes unbearable and I have to go outside for a break and let the room cool down.  If there was air-con installed in the rooms we could have stayed in there all day without having to take a break.  Even in a recording studio, most of these units are so quiet now we could have left them on whilst recording if it was essential and have got very little interference.
Server Rooms
If you are an I.T. Business you will know the importance of keeping your servers cool in the warm months, the cooler you can keep a server the more efficient it will perform and the less chance you will have of any breakages.  Just think, if you are keeping rows upon rows of servers in one small 3x3 meter room, it is going to get worryingly hot in there very quickly.  By installing an air-conditioning unit you will be keeping the room at an optimum temperature, this will reduce the risk of breakdown of thousands of pounds worth of equipment.
Animal Enclosures
Animal lovers will know this problem, sometimes it can be quite hard to keep your pets cool no matter where you place the hutches, and a lot of people have been coming to us recently to help keep their pets cool.  Whether its giant rabbits or worms, some pets just cannot stay cool on their own and need some assistance to stop them from getting agitated and start fighting.
Elderly People
For some elderly people stuck in this heat it can be quite hard for them stay cool and most of the time and with quite small pensions, it can be quite hard to find a cost effective way of staying cool over the summer months and warm in the winter.  For some, this can become a case of life or death.  Air-Con units are now at such a low price and with low running costs that they are suitable for anyone to buy and run even on a very low income.
