July 26, 2009 - PRLog -- The Zoum Optimist won top honors in the Championship and Green Fleets at the 2009 USODA Optimist National Championships hosted by Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club (“CBYC”) in San Pedro, California.

The Zoum continued to earn a disproportionate share of honors on the race course.  Sixty percent (60%) of Zoum Racers competing at the Nationals earned medals including gold in the Championship and Green Fleets.

Zoum sailors include some of the best known sailing names in the country. These sailors chose to transport their boats (including one which was flown cross country overnight) to California from around the US rather than charter “new” boats from other manufacturers.
