Veridian Homes Re-Certified for Outstanding Quality Home Building & Customer Satisfaction

July 22, 2009 - PRLog -- The National Association of Home Builders Research Center recently completed its annual audit and announced the re-certification of Veridian Homes as part of its National Housing Quality (NHQ) Certified Builder program. Veridian Homes was one of three builders in the national to earn NHQ certification in 2004 following a rigorous NAHB Research Center audit of the company’s quality management systems. Veridian is the only home builder in Wisconsin has earned re-certification each year. As the final test of certification, Veridian Homes had to demonstrate its commitment to building quality homes and achieving outstanding customer satisfaction.

The NHQ Certified Builder program provides a complete review of business practices, and ensures that Veridian’s quality assurance systems provide greater customer satisfaction. Each year, participating builders, such as Veridian Homes, are audited by the Research Center to ensure a continuation of certified business practices and a focus on quality assurance and management systems. Following a successful audit, re-certificated candidates earn renewed NHQ Certification of their quality program. We use systems to ensure our homes are high-performing, durable, and affordable.” Veridian is also the recipient of the National Housing Quality Gold Award, which is a coveted home building industry award. Simon added, “It’s important to be constantly learning and improving processes and products; and the award process provides valuable information.” In addition, each Veridian home goes through a testing process with a building science expert to qualify for Wisconsin ENERGY STAR® and Green Built home™ certification thereby having a lesser impact on the environment, reducing homeowner utility bills and providing a safer home to our homeowners.

The certification processes have provided positive responses among trade contractors, suppliers, code officials, building inspectors, and the insurance industry locally and nationally. Bob Hill, director of laboratory and certification services at the NAHB Research Center, said, “By focusing builders and trade contractors on getting the job done right the first time, NHQ certification differentiates those who just talk about quality from those who truly can demonstrate it, and are willing to put their quality practices to the test on a regular basis.”
