Indie Band “20 Minutes To Park” Gaining Ground with Strategic Music Marketing

Well-known independent acoustic rock artist 20 Minutes To Park has quickly been gaining popularity amid underground music enthusiasts due to their new music marketing strategy – giving away a song per week for free exclusively off of their website.

July 22, 2009 - PRLog -- 20 Minutes To Park has swiftly been gaining recognition among underground music devotee’s due in large part to their inventive marketing strategy.  The acoustic rock-soul group has been touring and circling the independent music scene for over seven years.  By putting out a free song per week through their website, 20 Minutes To Park is starting to see their following quickly grow.  

20 Minutes To Park, or “20MTP” to fans, has been touring and putting out music as an independent band for over seven years.  They were recently selected to be in the Sponsored Songs Program run through ReverbNation(R) and made possible by Microsoft(R) Windows - giving away free music to people across the globe with 1000+ other popular artists.  Seeing that free music was an attractive marketing device, the group decided to put out a free song per week, indefinitely.  Josh Gilmore of the group says, “More often than not people are downloading the music they love for free off of any given number of file sharing sites. We wanted to save our fans the trouble, and allow them to download a quality copy of our songs right off our site – a new one every week.”  20 Minutes To Park is taking donations, but is hoping that their fans will simply spend money otherwise spent on their songs on concert tickets and other merchandise.
