DRIGGS, ID — Harmony Design and Engineering (http://www.harmonydesigninc.com) is sponsoring the Sustainability Tent at Grand Targhee Resort’s 5th Annual Targhee Fest, July 17-19, 2009.

The tent features a smoothie blender powered by bicycle, which is in turn ridden by the customer. Grand Targhee (http://www.grandtarghee.com) is selling the smoothies with the proceeds benefiting the Tin Cup Challenge (http://www.cftetonvalley.org/8.html) fundraiser, which raises money for local non-profit groups.

“As a low-impact design and engineering firm, we want to encourage sustainable behavior in all aspects of the community,” says Jennifer Zung, Principal of Harmony Design and Engineering. “We are excited to help mix smoothies with this fun activity which uses human power instead of fossil fuels.”

The bike-powered blender will be located at Grand Targhee Resort in the Tin Cup Challenge tent on Friday night, and in the Sustainability “Chill” Tent on Saturday and Sunday during Targhee Fest.
