Cold Steel Recording New EP

New release "See You Again" to be produced by Grammy-nominated Tom Tatman

July 17, 2009 - PRLog -- Omaha-based hard rock band Cold Steel is in the studio recording a new 4-song EP to follow up their 2008 full-length debut.  The band has seen a year of remarkable growth, from national television exposure on Fuse on Demand to a college radio campaign resulting in over 120 stations in 42 states playing material from their self-titled CD.

To continue that growth, Cold Steel has retained the services of veteran chief producer and engineer of Catamount Recording, Tom Tatman.  Tatman's producing career spans three decades and nearly 300 albums, including the Grammy-nominated, gold-certified Roadrunner Records debut release from Stone Sour.

Matt DiBaise, lead guitarist for Cold Steel, said, "Working with a producer the caliber of Tom Tatman, I think he's helping us to fully realize the vision we have of our music.  His enthusiasm for the project is contagious and he is really pushing us to give our best performances."

Alex DiBaise, the band's vocalist, added, "I can't wait for people to hear it.  We've never sounded better and these new songs are strong, personal and full of passion."

Producer Tom Tatman said of Cold Steel, "Given their powerful songs, great stage presence, and musicianship way beyond their years, I think the sky's the limit for this band."

The new Cold Steel EP, titled "See You Again", wraps production in mid-August, with a tentative release date on October 6th.
