WWW.BI-POLARBEAR.COM announces the launch of its new website

July 16, 2009 - PRLog -- "WWW.BI-POLARBEAR.COM" a weekly web-comic is delighted to announce the launch of a totally redesigned website.  The new site provides users with a comprehensive overview of the weekly web comic, its characters, history, games and more. Visitors to the site also will find the new layout of the site, to be inviting and easier to navigate. A special feature of the site is “The Cave”, which provides an insiders look into the origins of the cartoon and its characters.

“WWW.BI-POLARBEAR.COM" is the collaborative effort of writer Jim Cimino (Fort Lee, NJ) and illustrator Julian Volyn (Long Valley, NJ). This web-comic focuses on Bi-Polarbear and Cole Turkey, two lovable characters who are best buddies, but quite different from one another. Bi-Polarbear, or “Bi” to his friends, is the embodiment of all personality disorders.  Bi doesn’t suffer from his personality disorder: he ENJOYS them!  Cole Turkey deals with issues of addiction in every form.  Cole is involved in so many 12-step programs that he
needs a 12-step program to deal with all of his 12-step programs!  And while both characters deal with their own “issues”, "WWW.BI-POLARBEAR.COM" is truly a comic meant for anyone. Every week, you will find something new on the website to make you laugh, chuckle, smile or groan.

“I have many friends with many different types of disorders: from personality disorders, addictions, eating disorders, etc.” said Jim Cimino, the writer behind WWW.BI-POLARBEAR.COM. “That is why I came up with these characters: not to make fun or light of these issues, but to serve as spokesman (spokes-characters?) and be the unofficial
champions for their respective causes. I am hoping to help shed some light on these very serious issues, and at the same time maybe help people lighten up a bit and maybe bring a smile to their face. After all, isn't laugher supposed to be the best medicine?”
